As the nationwide expert assisting clients with enhancing their financial health through advanced financial strategies who want to stay in their homes during retirement. I partner with traditional loan officers, financial advisors, attorney and realtors with their client's needs and questions. In 2007 is when I had the opportunity to start in the Reverse Mortgage field. This has allowed me to have an impact on many seniors through the years. I help clients who are experiencing cash-flow issues and have saved homes from foreclosures and short sales by providing solutions using a reverse mortgage. As the first Certified Reverse Mortgage Professional (CRMP) who is located in SD and who will travel as needed to serve the needs of my clients this has allowed me to exceed the expectations of my clients. I have even went to Tennessee to meet with a client in the past. As I work with clients a question that I ask is, "Is your goal to preserve cash-flow/income or equity in retirement?" Based on their answer I can educate potential clients and their families on how a reverse mortgage could fit their needs in retirement. I have financial advisors, bankers, and others throughout the United States who ask for my guidance and expertise when they are planning for their clients. With the opportunity to help clients across the United States I have become a subject matter expert for many financial advisors and their networks. I have been a speaker at various organizations from senior centers, NAIFA events in South Dakota, to home shows throughout the region. My goal to be known as the younger Tom Selleck with all things reverse mortgage. Being a veteran of the United States Army as a member of the South Dakota Army National Guard as a medic I take great pride in helping veterans and their family members. As a member of the American Legion for many years I am available as a resource when needed. 

Jake has also served on the Member Advisory Committee for Sioux Valley Energy since 2012. This position has allowed him to be a resource for members of the cooperative.

Many individuals also know me as the "Flagman" as I have a goal to complete a half-marathon in all 50 states carrying an American Flag, If you would like to become part of the USA Freedom Runners and join me at an event.
